How it works...

This year, Toyota and the AFL are giving you the opportunity to have your say on the weekly winners in the Toyota AFL Mark and Toyota Goal of the Year awards.

Each week, the best 3 marks and the best 3 goals from the previous round will be posted on the official Toyota AFL Mark and Goal of the Year section of afl.com.au. Fans will be able to view the nominations and vote on the weekly winner.

When is voting open...

Voting opens for the previous rounds nominations every Monday evening and will close the following Sunday at 5.00pm (exact days may change depending on fixture).

The winning mark(s) and goal(s) for each round will then be announced on the AFL website on Monday along with the next week's nominations.

How is the overall winner decided...

A panel of 3 members appointed by the General Manager-Football Operations ("AFL Mark/Goal of the Year Nomination Panel") shall at the completion of each round of the Home and Away matches and each week of the AFL Finals Series nominate the best mark and best goal.

The panel will also select 2 runners up each week in each category. All 3 selections will be posted on the Official AFL Mark and Goal of the Year website for the public to vote. Should the winner of the public vote differ from the mark or goal selected by the "AFL Mark/Goal of the Year Nomination Panel", both nominations will be included at the end-of-year voting by All Australian Selectors.

What do the winners get...

• The use of a TRD Aurion for 12 months, presented by Toyota;
• $5,000 for their grassroots club, presented by Toyota;
• A crystal replica of the official perpetual Toyota AFL Mark & Goal of the Year trophies, presented by Toyota and the AFL;
• The Alex Jesaulenko Medal (mark) and Phil Manassa Medal (goal), presented by Toyota.
