BANNED Port Adelaide forward Angus Monfries' return to football has been confirmed after he signed a contract for 2017.
Defender Tom Jonas joined Monfries in penning a new deal after committing to a three-year deal, which will seem him at the Power until the end of 2019.
Nathan Krakouer was upgraded to the senior list after two years as a rookie.
The raft of changes comes in the wake of Cameron O'Shea becoming the seventh player to depart the club this season.
Monfries, 29, did not play football this year as part of his suspension handed down by the Court of Arbitration for Sport after his time at Essendon in 2012.
Power football manager Chris Davies said the club did not consider delisting Monfries.
"Gus (Monfries) and Nathan are mature players who give us some versatility," Davies told portadelaidefc.com.au.
"Our young players will benefit from having Angus around the club in 2017 – we were always keen to keep him on and he has been able to return to training at the club already, in line with the CAS ruling.
"Nathan has worked really hard over two seasons and despite his setbacks has earned his place on the senior list."
Krakouer was suspended in March by the club for drinking while recovering from a hamstring injury. He suffered a broken jaw after being struck outside a Perth nightclub.
The 28-year-old made his way back into the senior team in round six and played 15 games for the year.
After starting his career at Port, Krakouer went to Gold Coast for the club's inaugural season but retired after just one season at the Suns. He returned to Power at the end of 2014 as a rookie.
Jonas, 25, managed just nine matches this year after suspension and a hamstring injury forced him on the sidelines. He received a six-match ban for an intentional strike on West Coast's Andrew Gaff.
"Tom is a valued member of our leadership group and is one of our most influential leaders on and off the field," Power coach Ken Hinkley told the club website.
"He’ll keep working with 'Bass' (defensive coach Nathan Bassett) to fast track the development of our younger defenders like Darcy Byrne-Jones, Logan Austin and Tom Clurey.
"We missed Tom’s physical and aggressive approach to the game last season, and he is an important part of our backline group with his ability to play against opponents of any size like Eddie Betts or Jeremy Cameron."
