WEST Coast captain Darren Glass says he's a better than 50-50 proposition to play on next year.
The 32-year-old is out of contract at season's end and said he hasn't even told his wife whether or not he would continue into a 15th season.
"Probably, yeah. I'm enjoying my footy," Glass said.
"I tell my wife nothing, she wants to know what I'm doing [but] we'll make the decision over the next month.
"I'm enjoying my footy. The concern for me is, can I play good footy next year?
"That's what it's about. I want to make sure I can do that, I want to be really confident."
The four-time All Australian confirmed he was keen to remain skipper if he played on but was happy to step aside if the club deemed fit.
West Coast's flag chances in 2014 will also be factored into any decision, with Glass believing the Eagles' premiership window was far from closed.
"We were in premiership mode this year," Glass said.
"We wanted to have a crack at it but clearly it hasn't panned out that way.
"I don't see any of that changing next year.
"I think it's to do with injuries, you need an element of luck when it comes to injuries.
"We haven't really been able to gain any momentum. We've made changes just about every week to the team."
Glass, who is still in stellar form, has played 258 games and sits fifth on the club's all-time games played list.
West Coast faces Essendon on Sunday afternoon at Etihad Stadium. The Bombers stormed home to beat the Eagles at Patersons Stadium in round 14 after the Eagles led by 23 points in time-on during the third term.
Glass, who led West Coast out of one of its darkest periods following the recreational drugs saga in 2007, believes Essendon has handled itself well this season given the ongoing supplements investigation into the club.
"It's tough to judge from afar," Glass said.
"But I thought they've dealt with it, certainly on the field, very well this year.
"I'm pretty sure they'll bounce back [from last week's loss to Collingwood]."
Glass was offered a reprimand by the Match Review Panel on Monday for his strike on Sun Dion Prestia on Saturday.
If he accepts the offer Glass will have 93.75 carryover points added to his future record.
