DAYNE Beams is set to join the Brisbane Lions on Tuesday afternoon, according to Collingwood president Eddie McGuire, after settling terms for a deal that will prompt further trades involving five clubs.
The Magpies are set to trade Beams to the Lions in exchange for young midfielder Jack Crisp and selections No.5 and No.25 in the upcoming NAB AFL Draft.
Collingwood will then send pick No.25 to North Melbourne in exchange for midfielder Levi Greenwood, paving the way for a three-way trade that sends Heritier Lumumba to Melbourne, Mitch Clark to Geelong and Travis Varcoe to the Magpies.
"I think it'll get done this afternoon, it's all been agreed," McGuire told radio station Triple M on Tuesday morning.
"The five-way [trade] will go through with everyone included, with Heritier Lumumba going to Melbourne, Travis Varcoe to Collingwood, Mitch Clark to Geelong, and Beams (to the Brisbane Lions)."
