DULCIE Kennedy, the wife of Hawthorn legend John Kennedy snr, has died aged 87.
She was the club's No.1 female ticket holder in 2014-16.
Hawthorn interim CEO Tim Silvers paid tribute to Kennedy.
"The board of directors, management, staff and players of Hawthorn Football Club wish to extend their sincerest condolences to John snr and children Maureen, John jnr, Bernard, Patrick, and their extended family and friends at this sad time," Silvers said.
"Dulcie touched the lives of so many people at Hawthorn and her friendly nature and kind heart made her a joy to be around.
"The impact of the Kennedy family on our football club will be eternal and Dulcie's legacy will always live on at Hawthorn."
Kennedy's grandson Josh is the captain of Sydney and is set to play against Collingwood on Friday night at the SCG.
