PORT Adelaide remains hopeful ruckman Matthew Lobbe will be available to face Adelaide in next Sunday's Showdown.
The 26-year-old landed heavily in a ruck contest following a boundary throw-in in the opening minute of the Power's three-point win over Collingwood on Thursday night.
A Port Adelaide spokesman told AFL.com.au the club would release an update on Lobbe's injury status on Monday after further consultation with its high performance manager Darren Burgess.
The 200cm big man finished with three disposals and nine hit-outs before being substituted out of the game at three-quarter time.
Leading sports medico Dr Peter Larkins said he was confident Lobbe would be fit in time for the game against the Crows.
"Lobbe landed awkwardly on his back and that's why he got back stiffness and back spasms. I think he'll be right with a week of physio," Larkins said.
