Lachie Neale, Jesse Hogan, Dylan Shiel, Dayne Beams and Rory Lobb are among the big names who are set to depart or have been heavily linked to rival clubs.

AFL.com.au's Trade Winds will provide a round-up of the latest action each morning until the Trade Period deadline on Wednesday, October 17 at 8.30pm AEDT.

Beams talks slowly progressing

Brisbane's one-time insistence Beams would be held to his contract is loosening as Collingwood prepares to pounce, The Age says.

The midfielder is signed up until the end of 2020.

However, according to the report, the prospect of a trade has gone from "speculative to possible".

Channel Seven says Beams won't officially ask the Lions for a trade, but will put it on the Pies to ensure a deal is done.

Gold Coast seeking future picks

The Suns' strong hand hold this year's NAB AFL Draft means they would prefer to trade in future selections, the Herald Sun reports.

Gold Coast currently holds No.2, 3, 19, 24 and 29 in this year's draft.

That means it will ask for selections in next year's Draft in exchange for Aaron HallJack Scrimshaw and Kade Kolodjashnij, who look likely to land at North Melbourne, Hawthorn and Melbourne respectively.
