FORMER Brisbane Lion Jed Adcock has been thrown a lifeline, selected by the Western Bulldogs with pick No.46 in Friday morning's NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
The 30-year-old was delisted by the Lions after 206 games, with the club preferring to continue its rebuild with youth.

The Bulldogs saw Adcock's experience as vital as they look to go one step further in finals next season.
Ex-Giant Sam Reid also found his way back on to Greater Western Sydney's list after a year spent playing for the UWS Giants in the NEAFL.
Tim Golds, who played six games with GWS before being delisted at the end of 2015, was picked up by Collingwood after impressing the club when given permission to train at the Holden Centre and in the club's camp to Falls Creek.
As expected, the Magpies re-selected Lachlan Keeffe (No.7) and Josh Thomas (No.42) on the club's rookie list.
Keeffe, 25, and Thomas, 24, will be eligible to play in 2017 following the completion of their suspensions for taking banned substance clenbuterol.
Along with Keeffe and Thomas, Jackson Paine (Brisbane Lions), Viv Michie (Melbourne), Harrison Marsh (Sydney Swans), Majak Daw (North Melbourne), Brant Colledge (West Coast), Will Hams (Essendon), Josh Saunders (St Kilda), Anthony Morabito (Fremantle), Alec Waterman (West Coast), Alex Woodward (Hawthorn), Kane Mitchell (Port Adelaide), Simon Tunbridge (West Coast) and Danny Stanley (Gold Coast) all returned to their existing clubs.
The Bombers gave Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti his chance, selecting the speedy small forward with pick No.22, after he was part of the group of top-up players who represented the club in this season's NAB Challenge.
The Suns sprang a surprise, picking 26-year-old former West Coast player Ryan Davis out of WAFL obscurity. Davis played 14 games for the Eagles in 2008 and 2009 and won Swan Districts' best and fairest award in 2014.
Adam Marcon, who has consistently been one of the most prolific ball winners in the VFL for Williamstown and the Northern Blues over the past three seasons, followed close friend Kane Lambert to Richmond.
Carlton made Jesse Glass-McCasker the first pick in the rookie draft, while All Australian Under-18 ruckman Gach Nyuon became a Bomber with the club's fourth pick.
Fellow under-18 All Australian Nick O'Kearney was picked by St Kilda (No.5), while Melbourne picked Josh Wagner – the brother of North Melbourne's Corey – with its first pick (No.6) in the draft.
Other talented junior players to find homes included Tom Papley (Sydney Swans), Callum Moore (Richmond), Darcy MacPherson (Gold Coast), James Parsons (Geelong) and Cameron Hewett (Port Adelaide). MacPherson is the son of former star Footscray midfielder Stephen MacPherson, who the Bulldogs opted not to nominate as a father-son selection.
There were 32 players retained on clubs' rookie lists from last season.
AFL National Talent Manager Kevin Sheehan noted 22 players, or 19.6 per cent of the draft pool, were selected from growing football markets in NSW/ACT and Queensland. International and players from other sports took up 6.3 per cent of the draft spots.
