FREMANTLE has been dealt a big blow with ruckman Aaron Sandilands a late withdrawal from Sunday's clash against Collingwood after failing to overcome hamstring soreness.
The Dockers giant had been monitored this week after missing last round's 100-point shellacking from Adelaide, and coach Ross Lyon was optimistic on Wednesday that the important big man would be right to play.
But Sandilands has failed to prove his fitness and has been replaced in the side by Jonathon Griffin, who faces a tough battle against in-form Magpies ruckman Brodie Grundy.
Collingwood will go in unchanged for the Domain Stadium clash.
