PORT Adelaide key defender Jack Hombsch appears set for a recall for Saturday's clash with St Kilda at Adelaide Oval.
Hombsch has played the past two weeks in the SANFL having been a mainstay of the Power's backline since 2014.
Running defender Jasper Pittard will also be in the mix, while star midfielder Chad Wingard arrived at the club in a moonboot on Monday morning and will have scans on his sprained ankle.
Wingard is likely to miss two to three weeks.
"I thought they (Hombsch and Pittard) were both very strong in their performances, and both played good games," Power assistant coach Nathan Bassett said.
"There was more than one reason why Jack went back to the SANFL.
"His consistency had been down for a month, but he's a terrific person and works hard at his game and his last two weeks in the SANFL have been very good."
Hombsch looks likely to return for Logan Austin, who was below his best in the Power's 23-point loss to Melbourne last weekend.
"He didn't have his best day," Bassett said.
"I thought he did quite well for first game in, but on the weekend it wasn't his strongest game.
"He's a young player still learning and we think his best footy is still in the future."
Power coach Ken Hinkley hasn't been afraid to swing the selection axe this season with a full list at his disposal.
Only Wingard and first-year key forward Todd Marshall (concussion) are in doubt to play, but it appears the Power's midfield unit is safe from being torn apart.
"There's more runs on the board for them," Bassett said.
"Ollie Wines, Brad Ebert, Paddy Ryder, they've had excellent seasons.
"Paddy hasn't got beaten in the ruck too often this season, but he certainly got beaten in the first half on the weekend.
"We'd expect a response from those guys."
