BRISBANE has a chance to do something this weekend not even its historic triple premiership team could accomplish.
If the Lions beat Richmond at the MCG on Sunday, they will win the club's first minor premiership since Fitzroy in 1913.

Captain Dayne Zorko said he was aware of the stat, but as of Tuesday, hadn't mentioned it to his teammates.
"It (minor premiership) is not something we'll be solely focused on, but what an exciting achievement if we're able to get the win," Zorko said.

In Brisbane's premiership years of 2001-2003, it never finished first after the home and away matches, that honour going to Essendon (2001) and Port Adelaide (2002 and 2003).

This year's Lions are used to making history though, having wiped out long-standing losing streaks against a number of clubs, including Sydney, West Coast and Geelong.
They have lost their past 12 matches to Richmond, not defeating the Tigers since 2009, with last year's 93-point hiding fresh in their memories.
"It's another great opportunity and no bigger task," Zorko said.
"We've broken hoodoos all year and set out to do the same this weekend."
