COMBINING two of his biggest interests was the brainwave South Australian Lee Jurga had when it came to creating his award-winning Dream Team name.

The Geelong supporter and Creedence Clearwater Revival fan entered his 2010 team under the clever title ‘Bad Mooney Rising’.

Judged recently, Lee’s entry took out the 2010 Toyota AFL Dream Team pre-registration competition, run in the fortnight leading-up to Dream Team’s February launch.

The reference to one of CCR's biggest hits and its intertwining with the belief Cameron Mooney will "rise" up and lead his beloved Cats to their second consecutive premiership glory will now see Jurga attend the 2010 Toyota AFL Grand Final - with four mates.

"I'd been referred to the competition by a mate in the office next door and he said, 'If you win, you have to take me the grand final'," he told afl.com.au.

"He admitted my team name was better than his though. I thought we had some chance between us."

That mate, Sydney Swans supporter George - who incidentally coaches the Dream Team "A Few Goodes Men" - has since been told he will accompany Jurga to the September decider.

Who will fill the other three seats, however, remains to be seen.

"I'll have to talk to my wife as well. She's not a football fan but if she wants to go to the grand final, I'm going to have to take her," he said.

"That will then impact on whether I need to take another female for her to have someone to talk to.

"If she doesn't want to go, it will be a couple of best mates."

Jurga was up against stiff competition in the battle to claim this year's best entered name, since judged and determined by Dr Dream Team.

Many great Dream Team names are simple player name puns, like this amusing play on Jason Akermanis.

Oh Ten the Saints

A commendation for the play on words with St Kilda's jazz standard theme song, twisted into aspirations to win the premiership in 2010. (Selected in January, long before Nick Riewoldt's hamstring injury).

The Polkinghornets

Take one third-year Brisbane Lion, pumped up in the pre-season by his coach as the next big thing, and combine his name with eusocial and highly annoying wasps. Brilliant.

And finally, the players' press conference catchcry when English isn't enough.

Jurga's Dream Team standing isn't quite living up to its prize-winning name. He's coming fifth in one league and 10th in another, and is averaging just over 1900 points a round.

With 12 trades left, he can add talent to his team currently containing faithful servants Ryan O'Keefe, Luke Hodge, Adam Cooney and Jack Grimes.

Funnily enough, Mooney isn't one of the four Cats in Jurga's Dream Team.

"I've got Gary Ablett, Jimmy Bartel, Josh Hunt and James Podsiadly, of course," he said, conceding, "through experience, Mooney's not a great Dream Team scorer."

Jurga is predicting a Geelong-Collingwood grand final, upset only by the possible healing of Riewoldt's hammy and subsequent rising of the Saints.
