Aish, 19, enjoyed a brilliant debut season in 2014 for the Lions but recently told AFL.com.au he was in no hurry to re-commit.
He remains contracted until the end of the 2015 season.
Aish was drafted to the Lions with pick No.7 at the 2013 NAB AFL Draft from Norwood, where he won the 2012 and 2013 SANFL premierships and where his family is considered royalty.
His father Andrew was a midfielder for the Redlegs and his uncle Michael was a four-time club champion and the 1981 Magarey medallist.
Adelaide head of football David Noble said the club watched all South Australians in the AFL carefully - Aish included - and was keen to take advantage of any player's desire to return home.
"All the expats, we watch them all a little closer probably because of that aspect," Noble said on Wednesday.
"The 'come home' factor for us is so intrinsic, to get some expats back home would be great.
"We'd certainly keep an eye on all of those guys, for sure."

The Crows are currently trying to convince three of their own stars - Patrick Dangerfield, Rory Sloane and Richard Douglas - to avoid returning to their home state of Victoria.
The trio falls out of contract next year.
Noble reaffirmed the club wouldn't offer a running commentary on players’ contracts but said he was satisfied with the progression.
"We're comfortable with both of those guys, where they're at," he said.
"We've got a host of guys we want to maintain, Richard being one of those.
"The core emphasis for all our guys to understand is, A – they're all important, B – we want them to stay together."
