NICK RIEWOLDT
There isn't a more prolific Saint than Riewoldt and the 32-year-old turned back the clock in 2014, playing every game, winning his sixth best and fairest and being named vice captain of the All Australian team. His massive influence last season included 191 marks – 21 more than any other AFL player – and he was involved in 38 per cent of the Saints' scoring chains, which was the highest percentage in the competition. Signed a two-year contract extension late in 2014, which means he'll be around to help ease the next generation of Saints into key roles as well as playing a part in the team's transition himself.
KEY 2014 STATS: 22 games, 49 goals, ranked 1st in total marks in the League, ranked 10th in marks inside 50 per game.
JACK STEVEN
While the 24-year-old didn't have a great start to 2014 because of a pre-season foot fracture that took time to get right, there's no doubting how important he's going to be to the team in the coming years. After winning the best and fairest in 2013, Steven finished inside the top eight last season with his work at the stoppages making him one of the most valuable young midfielders in the competition. Across the past three seasons, his clearances have led to 297 points, which has him ranked No.1 at the club and 21st in the competition , despite the fact he's played just 90 career games.
KEY 2014 STATS: 17 games, 393 disposals, 78 clearances, 79 tackles.
