ADELAIDE'S national recruiting manager Hamish Ogilvie says the Crows could still select Ben Jarman in the NAB AFL Draft, but wouldn't guarantee him a spot on their rookie list.
The Crows decided not to nominate the small forward as a father-son pick, leaving rival clubs the opportunity to swoop in.

Ogilvie said Jarman – the son of Adelaide and Hawthorn great Darren – could still end up on the club's list.
"Ben's in our talent order, he's certainly in there and there is a chance," Ogilvie told 5AA on Wednesday.
"We'll make those decisions and see how the draft pans out."

The Crows have picks 13, 43, 53, 66, 82 and 90 in the draft.
If Jarman is overlooked by every club, he could join the Crows as a father-son rookie selection.

Adelaide would need to nominate him under those rules in the two days between the national and rookie draft to get immediate access to him as a rookie.
"I'm not going to go into the detail of those private discussions that we've had," Ogilvie said.
Former Crows player, and now 5AA radio host Stephen Rowe, criticised his former club for not selecting Jarman.
"I'd be buggered if there's 80 players better than Ben Jarman," said Rowe, who was a teammate of Jarman's uncle Andrew at the Crows in the early 1990s.
"You could have done it for sentiment.
"He's a project player. His upside is enormous. I think it was a punt the club should have been willing to take."
Ogilvie has had a terrific track record at unearthing young talent other clubs have overlooked.
He implored Crows supporters to keep faith in their judgment and to take emotions out of the process.
"It's certainly not a decision we made lightly, we certainly don't want to put the family or Ben through the pressure that he's been through," Ogilvie said.
"We're trying to make the best decisions for the club, but having said that, we've been transparent with the Jarman family all the way through.
"We just can't make decisions on personal feelings, we've got to weigh everyone up the same.
"Rory Atkins was pick 81.
"Now I'm not saying we're going to get a Rory Atkins in the 80s, who knows, but we'll do the best thing for the club.
"We understand where the supporters (are coming from), but hang with us and we'll see how things pan out on the night."
