GEELONG has locked away two of its brightest young talents with Mitch Duncan and Josh Caddy signing new deals.

Duncan, 23, and Caddy, 22, have both signed on until the end of 2018, while veteran Tom Lonergan penned a one-year extension through to the end of 2016.

Lonergan, 30, was linked to the Western Bulldogs during this year's NAB AFL Trade Period, but his new deal will likely see him finish his career as one-club player.

"Mitch, Josh and Tom are well-liked and respected members of the club, they are great people and important to our future," general manager of football Steve Hocking said.

"Mitch and Josh have some great years of footy ahead of them and we are glad to have secured them until the end of 2018. It will be exciting for Geelong supporters to see them develop over the coming years.

"Tom's contract extension will see him remain a one-club player. We value his dedication and commitment to the club, to be where he is today is a testament to him as a player and person."

Duncan, who was added to the club's leadership group at the start of the year, enjoyed a breakout season in 2014, playing all 24 games and finishing third in the best and fairest award.

Caddy also had a solid year despite missing eight weeks with a broken foot and will look to build on his impressive finals performances next season.

Potential free agents Tom Hawkins, Andrew Mackie and Mathew Stokes remain unsigned beyond 2015.
