The Brisbane Lions kicked off their Community Camp today in Toowoomba with an action-packed day of activities and creativity!

The day started with the unveiling of the 'Queensland Spirit' Guernsey by Michael Voss, Jonathan Brown and Toowoomba Mayor Peter Taylor - read all about it here.

Meanwhile, over in Queens Park, the Best Banners competition was underway and while there was some tough competition with some fantastic entries across several schools, St Saviour's Primary School were the eventual winners as chosen by Vossy, Browny and the rest of the leadership group.

St Saviour's had a different twist on their banners - instead of one big banner, they made a sea of t-shirts all with Lions slogans on them! Check out the photos below.

The Lions then joined hundreds of local kids in a Super Clinic with groups of players taking each group of kids through their footy paces in a variety of drills and skills.

Next, kids and adults alike were able to chat to their favourite players and get some insight into Season 2011 at an autograph session.

Lions utility Brent Staker said that the players had had a fantastic day in Toowoomba.

“There is a great community spirit here and the kids have just been outstanding,” Staker said.

“There was some fantastic talent out there in the banner competition - they definitely put my artistic skills to shame.”

“I think we also saw some future Lions out there in the skills clinic, the kids were great and I think they really enjoyed the sessions.”

Staker and fellow teammate Joel Patfull will travel on a light plane tomorrow to Chinchilla - an area severely affected by the January floods.

The rest of the team will split up into groups of six for the morning and visit various schools in Toowoomba and surrounding areas to conduct clinics at schools and participate in various community activities.

The players will then head to the Toowoomba and Pittsworth Primary Schools where some will get to walk in Vossy’s shoes as they coach local junior footy games, while others will experience the stresses of umpiring first hand.
