Kreuzer trained away from the main group at Visy Park on Wednesday morning, but appeared to move quite freely during the hour-long session.
The Blues big man, who did not travel with the team during last year's pre-season camp to Arizona, went through a range of short sprints and ball work as he continues to find his touch.
Young recruit Sam Docherty was also restricted in his training and spent the session sharpening his reflexes with development coach Michael Osborne.
Docherty has big wraps on him after making the move from the Brisbane Lions during last year's trade period.
The Blues were greeted with a superb Melbourne day and they did not disappoint the hundred-odd supporters who turned out for the club's first open training session of the year.
Prized recruit Dale Thomas trained strongly, as did captain Marc Murphy and star midfielder Chris Judd.
Thomas is still on an individualised program set up by new fitness co-ordinator David Buttifant, as his ankle continues to heal following surgery.
Judd led the way on the track for the Blues, directing his younger teammates and leading by example during the drills.
The former skipper looks in mint condition as he approaches his 13th AFL season.
Another to standout was young Blue Troy Menzel, who managed seven games in his first year in 2013 and showed glimpses of his undoubted talent.
Going on his training form on Wednesday, Menzel is sure to add to his games tally this season. Menzel looked nimble and strong and moved with purpose during the team's full-ground transition drills.
That was an area of focus for the Blues as they practiced moving the ball from one side of the ground to the other, urging their players to run and support teammates.
They then topped off a physically demanding session with repeat 300m sprints with a one-minute break in between.
