The Lions have named their final team of 22 players ahead of Sunday afternoon’s match against Adelaide at the Gabba.

James Polkinghorne was the team's only inclusion with Aaron Cornelius being omitted from the side that defeated West Coast last week by five points.

Travis Johnstone and Tom Collier - who were both included in the preliminary 25-man squad - have been named as emergencies alongside Cornelius.

Polkinghorne returns for his first match since suffering a corked thigh in the Lions' Round 17 loss to Geelong at Skilled Stadium.

Jonathan Brown has been named at full-forward and remains a chance to line up for his 200th AFL match.

Brown - who booted the match-winning goal against the Eagles last week - pulled up sore after the teams trip back from Perth and was believed to be in some doubt. The skipper has since shown some improvement but will still need to prove his fitness on Saturday before taking to the field against the Crows.
