NBA superstar Andrew Bogut headlines the list of celebrities, entertainers, actors, football personalities, sports stars and politicians at the official start to the biggest day of the AFL year.
“The Grand Final Breakfast has been an institution for the past 46 years and continues to be the best way to kick start the most important day on the footy calendar,” North Melbourne chief executive Eugene Arocca said.
Revamped, refreshed and hosted by Craig Willis, the highly anticipated event will be held in front of more than 3000 guests at Etihad Stadium and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports.
“Guests will experience Etihad Stadium’s new Intimate Mode configuration, which features an elaborate setup of drapes, lights and screens,” Etihad Stadium CEO, Ian Collins said.
“Etihad Stadium is excited to be a part of the traditional AFL North Melbourne Grand Final Breakfast, which has been an iconic part of Grand Final day since 1966.
As well as enjoying some top-shelf entertainment, guests will be treated to a comprehensive breakdown of the Grand Final with expert opinion and analysis from the likes of Brad Scott, Guy McKenna, Brad Johnson, Gerard Healy, Jason Dunstall, Barry Hall, David King, Dwayne Russell and Mike Sheahan.
Celebrities and VIPs joining Bogut include fellow basketballer and three-time NBA champion Luc Longley, budding NBA star and Melbourne Tigers recruit Patrick Mills, author of the international best-seller Mao’s Last Dancer Li Cunxin, musician Johnny Diesel, Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Opposition Leader Tony Abbott, AFL Chairman Mike Fitzpatrick, AFL CEO Andrew Demetriou, Australian music icon Molly Meldrum, model Sophie van den Akker, Victorian Premier Ted Baillieu and Lord Mayor Robert Doyle.
