HAWTHORN speedster Bradley Hill is set to have a medical check with Fremantle in Perth this week but there are still no guarantees on a trade given he is contracted for 2017.
Hill flew into Perth on Tuesday night after confirming his request to be traded to Fremantle with Hawthorn during his exit meeting with Alastair Clarkson on Monday.
Both clubs have been open about Hill's trade request after he met with Fremantle coach Ross Lyon back in July.
Hill, 23, is keen to return home to play alongside his older brother Stephen.
The main reason for his trip home this week is to see family and friends but he will visit with the Dockers during his time in Perth.
The Dockers have a number of trade issues to work through in the upcoming NAB AFL Trade Period with Hill's possible move dependent on a number of other factors.
The Dockers currently have pick No.3 in the NAB AFL Draft but don't have a second-round pick after trading it to Gold Coast for a second-round pick in the 2015 draft, which was used to secure Harley Balic with pick No.38. The Dockers' next best pick in this year's draft is currently No.39.
Unrestricted free agent Chris Mayne is set to join a Victorian club next season while Hayden Ballantyne is hopeful to be traded to West Coast.
The future of experienced midfielder Michael Barlow is still uncertain and he was on the same flight as Hill from Melbourne on Tuesday night.
The Dockers are also set to do a deal with Greater Western Sydney to finally secure young key forward Cam McCarthy.

Decisions on a number of other Dockers have been delayed by the performance of their WAFL-affiliate club Peel Thunder. Peel is set to play in the WAFL Grand Final on Sunday against Subiaco at Domain Stadium.
The Dockers had 17 listed players play in Peel's 39-point preliminary final win over South Fremantle last Sunday.
Unrestricted free agents Zac Clarke, Matt de Boer and Clancee Pearce along with out-of-contract trio Tendai Mzungu, Alex Silvagni and Josh Deluca are all still playing. Unsigned ruckman Jack Hannath was an emergency last week.
The futures of all those players remain uncertain and they will not hold their exit meetings with Fremantle until after Sunday's Grand Final.
The Dockers have already delisted rookies Sean Hurley, Tanner Smith and Anthony Morabito while Matthew Pavlich has retired.
Youngster Ed Langdon has signed a one-year contract for next season.
