JACK Riewoldt has ended speculation about his future by committing to Richmond for three more years. 

The 24-year-old key forward will be a Tiger until at least the end of 2016. 

It has been reported that Fremantle chased Riewoldt, as it is keen to secure a key forward with its champion skipper Matthew Pavlich nearing the end of his career. 

“I genuinely love this football club and all it stands for, and I'm pleased to be part of the journey were on,” Riewoldt told richmondfc.com.au.

"I hope to repay the faith shown in me by the club, and I'll continue to give everything I have for the cause."

Riewoldt is a dual Coleman medallist (2010 and 2012), a Jack Dyer medallist (2010), and he is on track to win his fourth straight Michael Roach Medal for being Richmond's leading goalkicker.

In 2013, he has kicked 47 goals, at an average of three per game. He is third on the AFL goalkicking table, just four goals behind Coleman Medal leader, the Eagles' Josh Kennedy.

"Jack is an incredibly loyal person, and he has great passion for the Richmond Football Club,” said the Tigers' general manager of football, Dan Richardson.  

“We are thrilled with Jack's decision, and, like a number of other players, he has committed to team success as his No.1 priority."

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has been pleased with Riewoldt's year and his ability to play a more team-oriented role as he develops his game. 

"I think he's grown in stature as a player, and as a leader also," Hardwick said.

"He's just been absolutely outstanding in the way he's developed his game.  We're really pleased with the way he's progressing at the moment."
