1. Dane Swan (FWD/MID) $531,000
The original ‘Fantasy Pig’ will be my first selected player. Not only is he named with forward eligibility, but a lingering injury in 2014 caused his average to drop to 94, after not falling below 117.5 in his previous five seasons. Swan is flying this pre-season and looks set to become the competition’s highest-scoring forward with a 110-plus average. ‘Swanny’ will rightfully be the most selected player to start the season.
2. Steele Sidebottom (MID) $612,000
With seven scores of more than 120 last season, Sidebottom has developed into a genuine premium option. He has the potential to average 110-plus in 2015.
3. Scott Pendlebury (MID) $614,000
Despite Pendlebury’s average dropping under 110 for the first time in four years, his 108 ensures he remains in the elite bracket. He is slightly under-priced and a safe bet.
4. Nathan Freeman (MID) $174,000
Freeman averaged 89 in his final season of the TAC Cup in 2013. After suffering a severe hamstring injury last year, he is fully recovered and flying on the track.
5. Taylor Adams (FWD/MID) $404,000
An average of 89 points a game over the last seven rounds of 2014 to go with his forward eligibility as a dual position player puts Adams firmly on the pre-season radar.
