The Brisbane Lions have named their final 22 players for this Saturday’s QClash 2, with three changes to the side that took on Adelaide last week at the Gabba.

Defenders Josh Drummond, Matt Maguire and Mitch Golby all return to the team this week in place of an injured Joel Patfull, Amon Buchanan and Josh Dyson.

Patfull, who has been one of the Lions most consistent and solid backmen this season, suffered a season-ending hand fracture only ten minutes into the game against the Crows last week, but his exclusion from the team will be softened with the news that superboot Drummond will line up in his place.

Drummond’s 2011 campaign has been hampered by knee and quad injuries. It will be the Queenslander’s second time facing the Gold Coast SUNS after an extended break - his first game of 2011 was the Round 7 QClash 1, and he has not played a senior match since Round 13 against Richmond.

Maguire will return at full back after a week in the Reserves, while Mitch Golby will start on the bench in just his fifth senior AFL game.

Aaron Cornelius and Mitch Clark will again lead the Lions forward line, which this week also includes James Hawksley in the forward pocket. Clark is currently the Lions’ leading goal kicker with 25.

Ash McGrath, who kicked three goals against the Crows last Sunday, has been moved to the back pocket, while usual defender Pearce Hanley will line up on the wing for the fourth week in a row.
