Taylor Adams was fined for being drunk in a public place
YOUNG Collingwood midfielder Taylor Adams has been issued with an on-the-spot fine for being drunk in a public place.
Adams was at Lamby's nightclub in Geelong with his sister and friends when he was thrown out at around 11pm.
The 21-year-old wasn't charged with any offence, but notified the Magpies of his fine first thing on Monday morning.
It's the second time he has found himself in trouble late at night in Geelong, after pleading guilty to affray and recklessly causing injury in 2012.
That incident barred him from licensed venues in central Geelong, unless attending a function with employers or a sporting organisation, and then only until 12am.
The club has spoken to Adams and his family and will likely speak to him again when he returns to training on Tuesday.
"About 11 o'clock last night he was ejected from a nightclub in Geelong and he was issued with an on-the-spot fine for being drunk in a public place," Magpies spokesman Stephen Rielly told AFL.com.au.
Adams played 12 games for Collingwood this season after crossing from Greater Western Sydney, where he managed 31 games in two years.
