RICHMOND will be hoping to claim its second win of the season when it faces an under-siege Western Bulldogs on Saturday night at the MCG.

It's been a tough start to the year for the Tigers (1-7), but they can at least be heartened by being the only team to beat ladder-leaders Sydney.

Richmond will go into the match with little to lose and with some key players returning from injury, could just shake the shackles and try to move the ball with more purpose after averaging only 55 points in their four losses on the trot.

The pressure is rising on the Western Bulldogs (3-5) after four losses from their past five matches and are quickly losing touch with the top eight.

The Bulldogs had at least been able to beat the other teams sitting around them until failing to overcome the Hawks last week, but will be keen to answer the critics and to bounce back against the lowly Tigers.

Gold Coast returns to the top end for its Saturday night clash with North Melbourne at TIO Stadium.

The Suns (4-4) have built a strong record at home this season with victory in all four matches that they've played at People First Stadium, however they have dropped just as many when on the road.

The first of back-to-back home games at TIO Stadium will test the Suns' travel credentials, although they have also won all four matches at the venue across the past two years.

North Melbourne (0-8) is gradually running out of chances to find a breakthrough victory this season, with the Kangaroos being outclassed by teams sitting around them on the ladder.

The young Roos might firstly look to take small steps and hold an opponent to fewer than 100 points, even while coming up against the only team it has beaten in the past year.

The Suns have made a huge six changes, with Brayden Fiorini and David Swallow among those managed and Wil Powell suspended.

The Roos have recalled Will Phillips, Charlie Lazzaro and Hugh Greenwood in place of Jy Simpkin, Toby Pink and Zane Duursma.
