WESTERN Bulldogs duo Roarke Smith and Kieran Collins are still feeling the effects of a car crash last Friday, with Smith no certainty to return this week.

Meanwhile, big man Jack Redpath's season is over while Matt Suckling is out indefinitely.

Smith and Collins were taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital after Smith sustained a gash on his head, along with concussion.

"He also got some decent bruising around his knee, so we'll work through a process with Roarke over the next couple of days," medical services manager Chris Bell told westernbulldogs.com.au.

Smith, 21, has required two knee reconstructions in what has been an unlucky career.

Meanwhile, Collins will be fit for the weekend. 

"He has got some whiplash and some bruising but he'll recover in time to train Thursday," Bell said.

Redpath hasn't played in the senior side since round four after knee surgery while an Achilles complaint has hampered Suckling since his last senior appearance in round 11. 

A disc in Tom Boyd's back caused him problems against West Coast, with a return this season no certainty.

"The injury is quite volatile and did react poorly after the West Coast game," Bell said.  

"We will work through a process with Tom over the next couple of weeks to determine his availability and his returning to play plan."

Bulldogs captain Easton Wood should return from a right hamstring injury this season.

"He's back into some high speed running and some football training.  At this stage, he's on track to return for the last few games of the year," Bell said.

Forward Billy Gowers had ongoing ankle soreness flare up against the Eagles and is set to miss this week's clash with St Kilda, but should be available thereafter.
