WEST Coast coach Adam Simpson says defender Eric Mackenzie should be right to face Richmond on Friday night despite needing to wear a moon boot on Sunday to protect his big toe.
Mackenzie did not participate in the Eagles' light recovery session on Monday but Simpson told Perth radio station 6PR on Monday night that the moon boot was just precautionary.
"He's got a sore big toe," Simpson said.
"It was a pre-determined moon boot thing before we played. We'll just try to manage him through the week. So he's all good."
Matt Priddis also did not train on Monday following an outstanding performance in Saturday night's 33-point win over Fremantle.
Jamie Cripps was also absent from the light session. He injured his left knee in the second quarter, but played out the match with a compression bandage on the knee.
Brad Sheppard was another who failed to make an appearance on Monday. He went into the derby with strapping on his calf following a light week on the track last week and also copped two heavy hits to the head during the match.
"We've got some sore boys, I'll be honest," Simpson said.
"It was a brutal game. This time of year though I think you get a lot of players who just feel the pinch a bit after three rounds. I'm sure Richmond will be the same."
The Eagles have to deal with consecutive six-day breaks heading into Friday night's clash with the Tigers.
Josh Kennedy said earlier on Monday that the Eagles' fitness staff would look after the players this week.
"Our fitness guys have a really good program in place for our six-day breaks, especially when we're travelling," Kennedy said
"We're just lucky enough we get to stay home this week as well. We don't have to travel. But everyone will be in good stead by Friday."
