TALENTED West Coast youngster Tom Lamb will remain in Perth next season after agreeing to a one-year contract extension.
AFL.com.au has confirmed the Victorian will stay an Eagle until at least the end of the 2017 campaign.
Lamb, 20, was recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays with pick No.32 in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft and made his debut in round one the following season, booting a goal from 10 touches in a loss to the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.
But the 193cm half-forward hasn't been seen at senior level since.
This year, Lamb developed at WAFL level, playing all 20 games for East Perth and booting 19 goals – returning bags of five and four early in the campaign.
He finished the season averaging 16 disposals and nearly five marks per match.
But next year looms as an important campaign for Lamb, who boasts rare athleticism for a player his size, with a good pair of hands above his head and below his knees, and the rare combination of speed and endurance.
Lamb blitzed the 2014 draft combine, running a 15.5 beep test and finishing second in the 3km time trial, and appears to have the tools to make it in the AFL if he can force his way into West Coast's side.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are expected to take four players at the upcoming national and pre-season drafts, with key defender Mitch Brown appearing likely to move back to Victoria.

Former North Melbourne champion Drew Petrie, 34, remains in the mix to join the Eagles to provide added insurance in the big man department.
West Coast recruited Geelong ruck-forward Nathan Vardy on the final day of the NAB AFL Trade Period, but could also pick up Petrie when the delisted free agency period opens on Tuesday.
The Eagles' big-man stocks could be thin early next season with star ruckman Nic Naitanui sidelined by a knee reconstruction and Scott Lycett racing the clock for round one after a PCL repair.
