YOUNG Greater Western Sydney defender Caleb Marchbank is awaiting the results of scans after suffering a dislocated shoulder in the NEAFL on Sunday.
The injury continues a run of bad luck for the 19-year-old who has played a total of just five games in the AFL and NEAFL this season after injuring his ankle in round two against Geelong.
The injury occurred in a marking contest as the Giants took on the Brisbane Lions reserves at Coorparoo and is the latest setback for the No.6 pick in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft.
Although he left the ground in pain, the Giants remain uncertain of the extent of the injury at this stage.
Marchbank is yet to re-sign with the Giants although he is a required player and was in line for a senior recall before the end of the season.
The Benalla youngster has attracted interest from several Victorian clubs, including Carlton and St Kilda.
He has played just seven senior AFL games in his two years but is considered a rising defensive talent.
