GEELONG midfielder Sam Menegola has been cleared by Match Review Officer Michael Christian for the tackle that left Western Bulldogs tough nut Lin Jong with a broken collarbone on Friday night.
About midway through the opening term, Menegola tackled Jong and landed on top of him, an incident that saw no free paid.
Jong clutched his right collarbone and left the ground in the hands of trainers, with a stint on the sidelines awaiting him.
Christian found Menegola did not sling, rotate or drive Jong into the ground with excessive force.
Superstar Bulldog Marcus Bontempelli was also not punished after making high contact to Cats forward Harry Taylor with a shoulder in the third quarter.
The force in the contact was found to be below the level required for a charge to be laid.
