The West Coast Eagles would like to apologise to any members and supporters who may have travelled to Punt Road this afternoon to view the squad’s training session before tomorrow night’s clash with Hawthorn.

Unfortunately breakdown in communication regarding transportation from the hotel to Punt Road resulted in the session being moved to Albert Park unexpectedly.

Communications general manager Gary Stocks offered his sincere apologies to all supporters who had travelled to Punt Road for the public training session.

“The club apologises profusely for any inconvenience that may have been caused to our members and supporters,” he said.

“There was a misunderstanding over the booking of our bus which meant we were unable to transport the players and equipment to Punt Road this afternoon. The best solution for the players was to train across the road  from the hotel at Albert Park.

“This decision was made very late when it was discovered the bus would not arrive as planned at 11.45am and we were unfortunately unable to communicate the change of venue to our supporters who had already travelled to Punt Road.”

The West Coast Eagles will line up against the Hawks tomorrow night at the MCG with bounce-down set for 7.40pm EST.
