AFLW Tipping is back.

Official AFL 2024 Tipping Game

  1. Put in your tips at any point up until the beginning of the game.
  2. Enter what you think will be the margin for the featured game of the week.
  3. If you forget to tip you will automatically be allocated the away teams for your tips with a maximum of 5 correct tips total awarded in the round. You will be allocated a margin of zero points for the margin game.
  4. The results are available straight after the completion of each match.

Competitions

  1. Invite your friends, family and colleagues to join a private competition that you’ve created.
  2. Create up to 5 private competitions and join as many as you like.
  3. Have your own ladder to see how you are faring in your private competition.

Point Scoring 

Correct Tip: 1 point
Incorrect Tip: 0 points
Drawn Match: 1 point

Margin Predicition Score

  1. You will receive a “Margin Difference” score each round for the first match of each round based on the accuracy of your prediction. For example, if you tip a team to win by 10 points and they only win by 5, your weekly Margin Difference score will be 5 points. If you tip a team to win by 10 points and they lose by 15, your weekly Margin Difference score will be 25 (the difference between your prediction and the actual score).
  2. Each week your Margin Difference score will be added to all of your past Margin Difference scores to make "Cumulative Margin".

The Gauntlet

  1. The Gauntlet is another separate competition with a prize up for grabs. Starting in round 7, the Gauntlet requires you to select one team per round to win their respective match. You will then either move on in the Gauntlet competition to the next round or be eliminated if your selected team loses or you fail to tip. You may only tip the same team once throughout the entire Gauntlet competition.
  2. The Gauntlet competition will continue until there is one remaining entrant who has not been eliminated or until the end of Round 24.
  3. A Gauntlet tip will be a “winning tip” if you’ve entered a Gauntlet tip and the team you tipped to win the round is the winning team with the highest score in that round (or, in the case where the highest score that round is from a draw, either of the teams with that score). Note: It does not matter what day of the week your Gauntlet tip was. If your Gauntlet tip is in the final match of the round and loses, you remain equal with all other entrants who were eliminated in that same round.

Minimum 5

  1. Minimum 5 is the final extra competition within the Official AFL Footy Tipping 2024 Competition. You are automatically entered into this in Round 11 if you Tip 5 or more winners for that round. Each week, you can select your tips for the round as usual. Entrants remain in the Minimum 5 Competition until they are eliminated by tipping less than 5 winners in one round.
  2. Minimum 5 will continue until there is only one remaining Entrant in the Minimum 5 Competition or until the end of Round 24.
  3. Entrants still need to get 5 correct tips in each of the bye rounds to remain in the Minimum 5 competition.
