FREMANTLE has extended the contracts of Lee Spurr, Alex Silvagni and Jack Hannath until the end of the 2016 season.

Spurr, who was elevated to the Dockers leadership group earlier this year in just his third senior AFL season, was contracted for 2015 but has signed a one-year extension.

Both Silvagni and Hannath were out of contract at the end of this season but have signed two-year extensions.

Spurr, 26, told the club's website that he had no hesitation in signing a contract extension given that the Dockers had given him his opportunity at AFL level following years of toil in the state leagues in Queensland and South Australia.

"Fremantle gave me my first opportunity as a mature-age player and showed faith in me and I want to repay that faith that they've shown in me," Spurr said.

"I've made a lot of great friendships over here and I want to be a big part of Fremantle going forward."

Silvagni's commitment is more significant given he signed a one-year deal last year.

The 26-year-old has had limited opportunities at senior level having played just 43 matches over five seasons. But with Luke McPharlin nearing the end of his career, more permanent opportunities appear likely for the key defender.

"The club has shown faith in me, so I'll show faith in the club by sticking around," Silvagni said.

"I love the club, I love everything about it, the players, the coaches, the supporters, they're fantastic and I'm really enjoying being here.

"I've got a bit of unfinished business and I'm looking forward to what we can do with this group."

Hannath has committed beyond Aaron Sandilands' next contract, which is up at the end of 2015, in a sure sign that he is being groomed to fill the massive void in the ruck alongside Zac Clarke.

"The club has been really supportive of me and it's been good for my footy and me as a person to grow, that's why I was really keen to stay on," Hannath said.

"I've really enjoyed my time at the club, I've enjoyed the opportunity to play senior footy and I obviously want to keep getting that opportunity.

"I feel my footy has been constantly improving and all the resources and work that gets put into you is second to none, so I really want to make the most of that."

The South Australian big man has played 15 matches in his first two years after being recruited as a 21-year-old in the 2013 pre-season draft.
