NORTH Melbourne coach Brad Scott will learn his fate for incorrectly claiming umpires were refusing to pay Lindsay Thomas free kicks when AFL football operations manager Mark Evans speaks LIVE at 4.30pm AEST, Tuesday.
A contrite and embarrassed Scott has apologised for the extraordinary outburst during his press conference in the aftermath of North's fighting nine-point defeat to the Hawks, when he said umpires told his players that Thomas wouldn't be awarded high free kicks.
"I know he is (unfairly treated), because the umpires told our players that, (saying) 'Well, he's a ducker, so we don't pay high free kicks to Lindsay'," Scott said post-match.
"They told our guys that, so that's clearly a preconceived idea.

"You just want the umpires to umpire what they see, not their preconceived ideas.
"That's for (umpires coach) Hayden Kennedy to deal with, not for me, I'm just telling you what happened because they won't tell you, that's for sure."
After an investigation, the Roos backed down on Saturday and issued an unreserved apology to the League and umpires department, with Scott conceding on Monday he made a "terrible mistake by not fact-checking".
The Kangaroos coach said he was willing to accept whatever punishment the AFL deemed fitting when the club meets with the League on Tuesday.
Previously, Essendon champion James Hird was fined $20,000 in 2004 when he called the officiating in a Bombers game "disgraceful" and singled out umpire Scott McLaren.
The next season, former St Kilda coach Grant Thomas was out of pocket $15,000 for comments about League umpires having inflated egos.
