FREMANTLE'S injury list has reached a tipping point, coach Ross Lyon says, with only 28 fit players to choose from for Friday night's clash with Collingwood.
The Dockers confirmed on Tuesday that Tanner Smith, Brady Grey and Matt de Boer had all suffered significant injuries on the weekend.
Smith has a hamstring tendon injury. Grey has a grade three syndesmosis injury in his ankle and may require a screw inserted, while de Boer damaged a medial ligament.
Rookie key position prospect Matthew Uebergang has also been ruled out for an extended period as he requires hamstring surgery in Melbourne on Thursday to repair a ruptured tendon.
Lyon also confirmed on Wednesday that veteran Tendai Mzungu had been ruled out with a 21-day hamstring injury following a scan on Wednesday night.
"It is concerning, it's got to a tipping point really," Lyon said.
"We lost five on the weekend. Tendai Mzungu has been ruled out with a hamstring overnight.
"I think we have 22 and three emergencies, 25, and then outside of that we've really got (three) players and two of them are returning from long-term injury.
"So it's really quite critical for us and we're concerned. But at the minute we're sort of holding our end up."
Veteran Matthew Pavlich will play against Collingwood in what will likely be his final game at the MCG. The star forward pulled up well from his four-goal performance last week and trained on Thursday without issue.
Midfielder Lachie Neale did some running away from the main group on Thursday and was not moving at 100 per cent, but he will be named and should play.
Ruckman Jack Hannath was held out of the WAFL last Sunday to ensure he would be available following Smith's injury on Saturday.
Lyon said Hannath would replace Smith as the only change and Ed Langdon, Garrick Ibbotson and Clancee Pearce would travel as emergencies.
"We'll name Jack in the 22," Lyon said.
"(The players) know that already, we've made that decision. The three emergencies are Pearce, Ibbotson and Langdon. Obviously we can get there, with adverse weather (predicted) and maybe make a decision but we do like playing two ruckman.
"That's fundamentally it, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that everyone gets through training. So we'll have to back off training a little bit as well."
The Dockers only have three others fit to play in the WAFL on Saturday in Shane Yarran, Josh Deluca and Sean Hurley.
Deluca, a rookie small forward who was drafted in 2014, has been playing most of the season in the WAFL after battling with stress fractures for much of last year.
Yarran played just his second WAFL game of the season last week after battling knee and calf injuries.
Hurley, an international rookie from Ireland, has not played a single game this year following hip surgery and faces a fitness test this week to be cleared to play.
