The AFL has today confirmed the fixture for the 2024 rebel VFLW preliminary final.

Sunday, July 14
Preliminary Final, Williamstown (1st) vs Western Bulldogs (2nd)
ETU Stadium, 12:30pm AEST

Minor premier Williamstown will take on the Western Bulldogs in the preliminary final at ETU Stadium on Sunday, July 14. The winner will advance to play North Melbourne in the 2024 rebel VFLW Grand Final.

The Kangaroos booked the first place in this year’s premiership decider with an 18-point win over Williamstown at DSV Stadium in the second semi final.

The Seagulls remain in the premiership race courtesy of a double-chance as the second semi final loser, while the Bulldogs advanced to the preliminary final by defeating reigning premier Port Melbourne by 12 points at Whitten Oval in the first semi final.

Williamstown has been victorious in both outings against the Western Bulldogs in 2024. The Seagulls won the qualifying final by 18 points and scored a 21-point victory when the sides met in Round 5 of the home and away season.

ENTRY CONDITIONS

Entry to all rebel VFLW finals is free. Spectators are advised dogs are not permitted into ETU Stadium.

All matches in the 2024 rebel VFLW Finals Series will be broadcast live and free on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App.

The AFL is pleased to confirm the 2024 rebel VFLW Grand Final will be broadcast live on the Seven Network on Sunday, July 21.

FINALS VENUES

The higher ranked team on the rebel VFLW ladder at the conclusion of the home and away season hosted matches in Weeks One and Two of the 2024 rebel VFLW Finals Series.

Both the preliminary final and Grand Final will be played at Port Melbourne’s ETU Stadium.

FINALS ELIGIBILITY

To qualify to play in the 2024 rebel VFLW Finals Series a player must have played one game during the home and away season.

2024 REBEL VFLW SEASON DETAILS

The 2024 rebel VFLW home and away season featured 12 teams competing across a 14-round fixture.

GWS GIANTS and Sydney Swans each played in five matches between Rounds 3 to 7. Premiership points and percentage applied for all matches involving the GIANTS and Swans.

The top-six teams on the ladder at the conclusion of the home and away season qualified for the 2024 rebel VFLW Finals Series, which will be played across four weeks.

Port Melbourne won the 2023 premiership after defeating Collingwood by 12 points in the Grand Final.
