PORT Adelaide star Ollie Wines is yet to decide where his future lies but his coach Ken Hinkley has declared he is "100 per cent" certain the vice-captain will remain with the Power.

Wines, best-afield in Port Adelaide’s win over reigning premier Richmond on Friday night, is out of contract at season’s end and is reportedly being pursued by several clubs in his native Victoria.

The Power have offered the 23-year-old a two-year contract extension that would tie him to the club until 2020, by which stage he would become a free agent. 

Wines revealed earlier this week that he was still at least a fortnight away from making a decision, adding that it might be the last time he considers playing for a Victorian club given that re-signing with Port would entrench him in Adelaide. 

Hinkley was content to play the waiting game, confident the midfielder would remain with the Power at least in the short term.

"He has every right to take the time he needs to make a decision," Hinkley told Melbourne radio station SEN on Saturday. 

"I’m really, really comfortable that Ollie will choose to stay at Port Adelaide – (I) have no doubt about that – but he is, and always has been, really thoughtful of his family and what the whole family think of these decisions.

"I have no doubt that at some stage Ollie, if he chooses to go back to Melbourne, it won't be for any other reason other than his family as the most important thing in his life. 

"Outside of that, I think Port Adelaide runs a pretty close second … 

"I’m potentially going to sound stupid at some point, I hope I’m not, but I’m 100 per cent certain that Ollie Wines will be at Port Adelaide next year."

Wines, the No.7 pick in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft, has played 118 games with the Power and was runner-up in the club best and fairest in 2016. 

He has been a good performer again this season, averaging 26 possessions and being in the top 10 in the AFL for clearances (seven a game).
