TROUBLED former premiership stars Ben Cousins and Daniel Kerr are an important part of West Coast's history but the club is firmly focused on the present, Eagles captain Shannon Hurn says.
Cousins and Kerr have created headlines in Perth over the past week.
Cousins was arrested for the third time in three weeks on Monday while Kerr is due in court on March 31 to face charges of endangering life following an alleged incident last November.

Hurn, who played with Cousins and Kerr at West Coast, was asked about the club's link to the pair at captains' day on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old acknowledged that both men were an important part of Eagles history, but stressed they were a long way removed from the current playing group.
"It's one of those things, it doesn't affect you too much," Hurn said.
"But certainly we understand what's going on outside.
"While they're part of our history, at the moment we're here trying to play footy and trying to win games.
"That's our main focus. But we certainly wish them all the best and hopefully they can get back to living a normal life."
Hurn said the club had a particular appreciation for what Cousins achieved as a player.
"He's part of our history, he's a Brownlow medallist and a premiership player," Hurn said.
"So he's very important to what we have achieved over the journey. We certainly respect what he did as a player.
"Outside the footy club we can't really control (what's happening).
"But that was a long time ago. We're just focused on playing football now and trying to move on."
