CAPTAIN Joel Selwood has been left out of Geelong's side to face North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.
Selwood was a late withdrawal from the Cats' comfortable win over Essendon with general soreness, but curiously has been named as an emergency to face the Roos.

AFL.com.au understands the skipper is still a chance to play and could be on standby for superstar Patrick Dangerfield, who has been named but remains a watch after hurting his knee against the Bombers and faces a fitness test on Saturday.
Damaging half-back Zach Tuohy returns after missing the Dons win, with Zach Guthrie making way in the only change so far for the League leaders.

North Melbourne will go in unchanged after a pressure-relieving 58-point belting of Carlton last round for Brad Scott's men.
After the bombshell omission of former skipper Jarryd Roughead signalled a clear change in direction, Hawthorn has also axed Daniel Howe and defender Kaiden Brand for the MCG clash with Greater Western Sydney.
Misfiring recruit Chad Wingard (hamstring) is also out of the line-up which lost an uninspiring clash to Melbourne, with veteran backman James Frawley, ruckman Jonathon Ceglar, Jack Scrimshaw and James Cousins coming in.
The Giants have regained co-captain Phil Davis from an ankle injury and smooth-moving mid Josh Kelly, with pressure forward Zac Langdon in for his first game in 2019 and ruckman Dawson Simpson called up for Shane Mumford (knee).
Tall backman Aidan Corr (ankle) is also injured, while Jackson Hately and Isaac Cumming have been omitted.
Fremantle has axed forward Cam McCarthy for Sunday's final match against Richmond at Optus Stadium after a gradual decline in output since his season-opening five-goal haul.
McCarthy, who missed round five with illness, has kicked just one behind in the past two games and is replaced by emerging swingman Brennan Cox, with ruckman Sean Darcy overlooked again.
Brett Bewley withdrew from the Dockers' emergencies later on Friday night, replaced by Connor Blakely.
Richmond's depleted backline welcomes back David Astbury from an ankle issue and Ryan Garthwaite has been called up to help tackle the Dockers' tall forwards, meaning Jake Aarts and Riley Collier-Dawkins will have to wait for their debuts.
The injury-hit Tigers have lost Daniel Rioli (quad) and Nick Vlastuin (ankle) for the Sunday afternoon clash.
