Fyfe 'flying' following shoulder surgery, says Mzungu
Teammate says star Docker is in great nick following shoulder surgery
FREMANTLE star Nat Fyfe has returned to training, allaying fears his shoulder injury would disrupt his 2015 campaign.
Fyfe underwent shoulder surgery in November after being injured in a practice match in the lead up to Australia's International Rules Series battle with Ireland.
The Dockers' 2014 best and fairest winner was out on the track on Friday and is "flying" according to teammate Tendai Mzungu.
"It's really good to see Nat (out there), he's had an interrupted pre-season but I think he's flying now and looks in really good nick and training really well," Mzungu said on Friday.
Mzungu won the club's 3km time trial at McGilvray Oval on Tuesday, edging out Matt de Boer and rookie Jacob Ballard.
The aggressive midfielder said he was impressed with the condition of his teammates following the Christmas break.
"We generally do one (time trial) before the break and one when we get back to see how we're progressing and once again there was a lot of guys hitting PBs and putting their hand up," Mzungu said.
"It's always pretty tough at this time of year but the boys have come back in really good shape.”
Mzungu also noted the performances of veterans Matthew Pavlich and Luke McPharlin who both training strongly on Friday.
"Both of them are immaculate with how they prepare, they're here for a reason," he said.
"They are really keen to drive the group and get success out of us so it's great to see them driving the bus once again and we all follow."
