GOLD Coast midfielder Aaron Hall has resumed training in a bid to be available to face Carlton on Saturday.
Hall broke a finger in the final JLT Community Series match against Brisbane two weeks ago and had surgery to repair it.
He missed Saturday's 16-point round one win over North Melbourne in Cairns.
However, the 27-year-old joined his teammates in a light training run on Monday, and after initially being in a sling, now just sports a tiny cast to protect the finger.
He will do a light skills session on Tuesday before aiming to participate in the team's main run on Wednesday to put his name forward.
Coach Stuart Dew might be forced to make the difficult decision of whether to stick with the 22 that got him a first-up victory, or make a change and accommodate the speedy Hall.
Pearce Hanley is progressing well from his dislocated shoulder, but is expected to miss at least another week.
