Carlton forward Liam McMahon is this week's special guest on State of Play following a match-winning performance in Carlton's upset over Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.

McMahon booted seven majors, including six in the second half, as the Blues stunned the Cats by 22 points on Saturday in the penultimate round of the season.

The haul lifted McMahon into a three-way share of the lead at the top of the Jim 'Frosty' Miller Medal table with Werribee's Hudson Garoni and Port Melbourne's Billy Gowers. The trio have eached booted 43 majors heading into the final round of the home and away season.

The weekend's results left spots in the top 10 wide open heading into next week's Wildcard Round, while spots in the top four are still not locked in with double chances up for grabs this weekend.
