MOST players take several years to kick 200 goals, if they ever get to that figure.
But Tasmanian goalkicking machine Rohan Baldock has managed the amazing feat in less than a season.
Baldock, the playing coach of South Burnie in Tasmania's Darwin Football Association, reached the extremely rare double century with his 12th and final goal against Queenstown on Saturday.
He has become only the 12th man in history to kick 200 goals for one team in a single season, a milestone he reached in just 17 games.
Deniliquin's Trevor Sutton holds the overall record of 249 goals in a season, a mark set back in 1982.
With one home and away game plus finals to come, Baldock looks unlikely to break the all-time record.
"It's not something I've been thinking about, but it's good to get it over with and go on to bigger and better things," Baldock told The Advocate after the match.
"I think I kicked four or five points in a row from set shots, and I just didn't think it was going to come, but I'm really happy to get it out of the way."
His biggest haul of both the season and his career was 22 goals, kicked against Ridgley three weeks ago.
He has reached double figures on 10 occasions, including three lots of at least 20 goals.
Baldock said he would now turn his attention to taking his side to a premiership, which would be the Hawks' fourth flag in five years.
