Team of the Decade

Gavin Wanganeen will go down as a legend of the Port Adelaide Football Club, having represented the side in the SANFL, being the inaugural skipper upon entry into the AFL in 1997, a member of the Indigenous Team of the Century, an AFL Life Member, a Brownlow Medallist, and a member of the PAFC Hall of Fame.

Wanganeen captained the Power from from 1997-2000, made the All-Australian in 2001 and 2003, and in that latter year won the John Cahill Medal for the PAFC Best & Fairest, as well as being runner-up in the Brownlow Medal, an award he won in 1993 when representing Essendon. Gavin was a key member of the 2004 Premiership side, before retiring in 2006.
