Key forward Shane Kersten is also likely to come into the selection frame for the game against Gold Coast next Saturday, after nailing six goals in a stellar effort against Coburg.
Caddy, who broke his foot at training in April, tallied 22 disposals, six clearances and a brilliant goal from the boundary in his return game against Coburg.
Christensen went from strength to strength, backing up a classy display in his first game back last week with 22 touches of his own, while he also laid seven tackles.
After putting together a solid block of training over the last month, Caddy believes he could return to the AFL side next week if called upon.
The young Cat played around 75 per cent of game time in his first-up hit out, his grunt work around stoppages a clear feature.
"I didn't set the world on fire today," Caddy told AFL.com.au
"That was a good starting point but I've just got to keep pressing on and get back in the ones.
"I'm ready to go, but that's out of my control."
Geelong VFL coach Matthew Knights said the trio are certain to feature in selection calculations after contributing strongly in the 77-point victory over the Lions.
"There's no rhyme or reason. Caddy played well today and he's trained very strongly the last few weeks," Knights said.
"It's great to have players like that pushing for senior selection."
Christensen's cleanness and ability to spread from the contest has been something that has been missing from the AFL side this season.
The 23-year-old had been sidelined since February due to a serious back injury, but has proven he is match fit in his two VFL games.
"There hasn't been a definitive plan with him. To Bundy's (Christensen's) credit he's been really open minded about the amount of games he needs to play in the VFL," Knights said.
"But with two strong performances from a form point of view, he'll come into calculations no doubt sooner rather than later."
Kersten, who is yet to make his senior debut, is also firming to make the trip to face the Suns next week.
The youngster has returned strongly from a pre-season knee issue and his one-grab marking in slippery conditions was superb on Saturday.
"His form line has been on an upward curve the last three weeks," Knights said. "I thought he played brilliant football today."
"The three weeks allows him to be up for senior selection, there's no question about that. But in saying that, it is a difficult team to crack into."
