PORT Adelaide will be sweating on the results of scans to Matthew Lobbe's knee after the ruckman went down in the SANFL on Sunday.
The 27-year-old suffered a knock to his knee during the second quarter of Port Adelaide's 63-point loss to Sturt and did not take any further part in the match.
Port's SANFL coach Chad Cornes said the extent of the injury was unclear, with an exact prognosis to be known following the results of scans in coming days.
"'Lobbes' (was) obviously fairly serious," Cornes told the club's website on Sunday night.
"He is not sure what it is, so we'll need to wait for the scan."
Lobbe finished the game against Sturt with 27 hit-outs before sustaining the injury.
The 200cm ruckman was omitted from the Power's squad following their 48-point loss to Geelong at Adelaide Oval last Saturday night.
Lobbe featured in Port's opening five games of the home and away season.
A serious injury to Lobbe would leave Port's ruck stocks very thin with Paddy Ryder serving a doping ban for the entire season.
Dougal Howard, 20, shouldered the load against the Tigers on Saturday night in just his second career game.
