Jed Anderson - 3
Wasn’t able to find the space he needed in attack and while he delivered to Majak Daw who goaled, it was Anderson’s only highlight. It was a performance to forget.
Shaun Atley - 2
Terrible night for Atley - disastrous really. He had five goals kicked on him (four by Eddie Betts) and just didn't appear capable of holding the mercurial Betts - although that’s hardly a hit on his ability.
Ben Brown - 2
Barely sighted in the first half and then missed the ball altogether when trying to soccer through a goal from metres out. Daniel Talia’s one of the best in the business and Brown was no match for him.
Ben Cunnington - 7
Did all he could around contests, clearing the ball well and feeding it out to teammates. He finished as one of his side’s best with nine clearances and a score assist. Cunnington was one of very few Kangaroos to hold his own.
Five things we learned: Adelaide v North Melbourne
Nick Dal Santo - 6
In what looms as the star’s final game - certainly for the Roos - the veteran managed to keep fighting until the end. His experience saw him gradually amass 29 touches but poor work by others lessened his impact.
Majak Daw - 6
Made up for an early miss by booting four goals for the night and was one of the only forwards to offer much for the Kangaroos. He was a reliable kick and couldn’t have done a whole lot else given the supply to North Melbourne’s forward line.
WATCH: Tears flow as champions finish up
Trent Dumont - 4
Didn’t do much and then sloppily missed the leading Drew Petrie in the third term, resulting in yet another transition attack for the Crows. He was another who was well beaten on Saturday.
Michael Firrito - 7
Tried to set the tone physically with his early hit on Charlie Cameron and actually played quite well on Josh Jenkins. Given Adelaide’s midfield dominance, Jenkins could have enjoyed a night out but was ultimately outdone by Firrito.
Sam Gibson - 5
Far from the Kangaroos’ worst, Gibson held his own for much of the night against David Mackay but while Mackay was able to impact the contest, Gibson did not. His 17 possessions and three rebound 50s were of some value, but ultimately meant little.
Todd Goldstein - 6
It took the big man a little while to settle into the game but as half-time approached he was beginning to influence the play. Had his work cut out for him against Sam Jacobs, but held his own in the ruck and probably had Jacobs’ measure around the ground. Kicked two goals too.
Lachlan Hansen - 3
Found out at times when facing Adelaide’s best forwards (Tom Lynch and Taylor Walker both goaled against him) but he held Mitch McGovern well. All in all, not a great night.
Brent Harvey - 4
A poor start for the veteran - turning it over twice deep in defence and costing his side a goal. He also missed a straightforward shot at the other end. He found the ball (25 possessions) but his final game for the Kangaroos wasn’t his best.
Shaun Higgins - 5
Sold the dummy and slotted a vital goal in the second term just as the Crows were pulling away. He was lively around the ground to pick up 15 possessions and he managed a second goal in the third term.
Jamie Macmillan - 6
Once Charlie Cameron booted the game’s first goal, Macmillan managed to take him out of the game. In what was a really tough night for a defender, he managed to win his match-up and was able to leave the ground with his head held high.
Luke McDonald - 3
Spent the bulk of the night on Tom Lynch and was well beaten. Lynch was harder at the ball and managed to kick two of his four goals while under McDonald’s care. Poor night.
Aaron Mullett - 4
He managed to find a little of the ball and rebound out of defensive 50, but he was beaten by Betts, who kicked two goals on him. Another defender who suffered due to the Crows’ dominance higher up the field.
Drew Petrie - 2
A really ordinary night in his last game for the club. Petrie was well-held both by Kyle Hartigan and the Crows’ wider defensive group and he missed his only shot at goal for the night. His night was made much harder by terrible delivery into the Kangaroos’ inside 50.

Andrew Swallow - 4
The skipper tackled hard (seven tackles) and booted a goal, but had his colours lowered by Scott Thompson in the midfield, who managed to win 11 possessions to his five during the match-up.
Robbie Tarrant - 2
Cost his side an early goal by kicking it out on the full in defence and was taken to the cleaners by Crows skipper Taylor Walker. Tarrant just couldn’t handle Walker, and was continually out-marked in dangerous areas. Of course Adelaide’s dominance higher up the ground made his task all the more difficult.
Lindsay Thomas - 6
Slotted an important goal from a set shot to get his side off the mark but then missed a gimme late in the first term and put another out on the full in the second. Finished the night with three majors in a solid showing.
Daniel Wells - 5
Found plenty of the ball in the opening half acting as one of his side’s main rebounding forces. Wells was clean on the outside but never lifted to the level required to really take it to Adelaide’s midfielders.
Jack Ziebell - 8
Started the game like a boss with contested possession and a goal and continued to win most of his match-ups. He was North Melbourne’s best player and stood up in a disappointing night for the club.
