Reid kicks Goal of the Year, scoring $50,000 and $10,000 to junior club thanks to NAB 🏃‍♂️

Harley Reid's incredible goal in Round 10 has been crowned the 2024 NAB AFL Goal of the Year.

Reid grabbed the ball one-handed from the ruck tap and burst past Norm Smith medallist Christian Petracca. He then sprinted through the middle of Optus Stadium, taking three bounces before scoring from just inside the 50-meter arc.

The first-year star received the Phil Manassa Medal and $50,000 thanks to NAB at tonight’s Charles Brownlow Medal.

It is the second consecutive season the Phil Manassa Award has been awarded to a player in their first season, after Lions young star Will Ashcroft was recognised in 2023.

Reid's goal was selected over a pair of goals from Nick Daicos in Round 16 and Round 23 as the other two finalists.
