The 30-year-old landed awkwardly after trying to take a screamer on the wing during the third quarter.
He left the field to have the injury assessed, but later returned to the field and played out the game.
"I feel good," Kelly said at Simonds Stadium on Wednesday morning.
"I had a little bit of a sore ankle at the end of the game, but that has settled down really well. It's no drama."
Kelly said he never felt too worried about the ankle issue, although he joked he had learned that he "shouldn't try to take marks.
"I should just stay on the ground, like I've done for the last 250 games. So lesson learned on that one."
Kelly won't do a lot of training this week, but given the Cats will take on the Hawks after just a six-day break, there is nothing unusual about that.
"Being a bit older, I don't really do much early in the week anyway," he said.
As for whether the Cats have the firepower to win the premiership, Kelly said: "I think we're as good a chance as anyone.
"Our best footy stands up in big games. We've always believed that, right from 10 years ago.
"So we're really happy about the position we're in and we're ready for the challenge.
"It's just another challenge, the finals, and another chance to do something special."
Four Geelong players – Joel Selwood, Tom Hawkins, Harry Taylor and Tom Lonergan – were named in the 40-man All Australian squad on Tuesday evening.
Lonergan's teammates are particularly keen to see him make the final team.
"He really does deserve it," Kelly said. "He's been hugely consistent over the last three or four years and he plays on the best forwards every week.
"Him and Harry Taylor in tandem are probably the best combo going around, I think.
"Out of all the guys that are in it, I'd really like to see Tom make it."
